Cool Like Mom

Last Sunday, we decided to check out the Tamarack Outlets south of where we live which was about a good hour drive through the mountains... only to find out that West Virginia's version of an "outlet" isn't exactly what we had in mind. We're used to the outlet malls in California where mainstream stores like Nike or Gap pile their last season's overflow or rejects for deep discounts -- instead, we found ourselves looking at Blenko glass and coffee tables made out of fish bones (which, pardon my ignorance, must be an intricate process since they were selling tables for a whopping $5,000 -- either that or the species they harvested the bones from are close to extinction). In any case, we ended up just having a nice, hefty lunch at Logans and headed back.

The highlight of our trip was seeing Ethan sport my shades at Logan's sidewalk...

Yes, dear, you look REALLY cool in mommy's shades.

Oh, you poor thing, who told you that Tamarack was an outlet? For your next trip, you should eat at Tamarack. The food is to DIE for, catered by the Greenbrier (for you non WVian, that’s a 5 star resort in White Sulphur Springs). It’s great, and not very expensive.
